This was created as part of a series of paintings from person photographs and selfies of muses on Sktchy and Instagram.

I used fairly broad brushwork on this painting to keep the loose and energetic to match the expression of the girl’s face. Also, I had just finished a long string of portrait commissions and this gave me on opportunity to let the paint fly in true alla prima fashion.
